Your files, your device
InkStrip never uploads your comic files. They stay on your device, or in cloud folders you connect — iCloud Drive, Google Drive, Dropbox — under your control.
Open formats
Read CBZ, CBR, and PDF straight from the folders you already use. No re-encoding, no proprietary library lock-in.
Reader that respects the page
Left-to-right, right-to-left, vertical scroll, two-page spreads. Per-series overrides. Brightness and chrome controls that stay out of your way.
Cross-device sync (Pro)
Pick up where you left off on another device. Only your reading progress and preferences sync — never your comic files.
No ads, no tracking
No IDFA. No advertising SDKs. No App Tracking Transparency prompt because we have nothing to ask permission for.
Reading stats that stay private
Pages read, sessions, time spent — kept on your device. If you upgrade to Pro, they sync; nothing leaves your account.

Frequently asked.
Do you host or stream my comics?
No. InkStrip reads files from your device or from cloud folders you already own. We never upload, host, or stream your comic files.
What file formats does it support?
CBZ, CBR, and PDF. We follow archive-safety best practices (size and entry limits, path-traversal protection, symlink rejection, image-type allow-list).
What’s the difference between Free and Pro?
Free reads the comics on your device with the full reading experience, and you can import copies from cloud storage through the Files picker. Pro adds live cloud-folder libraries (iCloud Drive, Google Drive, Dropbox) plus cross-device sync of reading progress and preferences. Pricing will be announced at App Store launch.
If my Pro subscription ends, do I lose anything?
No. Your local comics, reading progress, and preferences stay intact. Cross-device sync stops, and your synced data stays on our servers so your reading position is waiting for you if you subscribe again later. It is deleted when you delete your account.
How can I delete my account and data?
In the app, go to Settings → Delete Account — your account and synced data are removed immediately. You can also email privacy@themattlabs.com if you’d rather we did it. See our account deletion page for details.
Is InkStrip suitable for children?
InkStrip is intended for users aged 13 and over, or 16 and over in EU countries that set a higher minimum age for consenting to online services. It is not designed under Apple’s Kids Category.
